The Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) Tax Incentive Program is a federal tax incentive program, administered by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). The program encourages Canadian businesses of all sizes, and in all sectors to conduct research and development in Canada. SR&ED is the largest single source of federal government support for industrial research and development and gives claimants cash refunds and/or tax credits for their expenditures on eligible R&D work done in Canada.

SR&ED Services:

First Time Claimant Service – This free service helps put your business in touch with SR&ED staff who will answer your questions regarding SR&ED, provide you with information, tools and the help to complete your first SR&ED claim, and possibly visit your business to explain the program and requirements.

Information Seminars – SR&ED offers free public information seminars that provides a general overview of the program, explaining the program’s eligibility criteria, what expenditures are eligible, and how to file a SR&ED claim. These seminars are intended for those claimants who have some general knowledge about the SR&ED program and are suitable for technical staff.
