City of Surrey Services:

Incentives for Clean Energy Companies – The City of Surrey provides incentives for new clean energy companies choosing to locate in Surrey. These incentives include eliminating property taxes for the first three years, reducing building permit fees by 50%, and reducing the business license fee to $1 for the first three years of company operation.

Energy Initiatives – The City of Surrey is rapidly advancing in the areas of energy conservation and efficiency as well as clean and revewable technology. Current actions include the development of a district energy system in City Centre, and a strategic partnership between the City of Surrey, SFU Surrey, Powertech Labs, and BC Hydro to advance sustainability through clean energy initiatives.
